Joke Treatment

This painting was both therapeutic and experimental. Kevin Smith recently said about the Aurora killings that in the wake of so much destruction, the only way to fight back is to create. I tried painting on prepared Masonite. This felt very much like my ceiling work, since the paint was quite workable even after rewetting. So here is a little scene based on Rockwell’s Post cover called Full Treatment featuring The Joker and Harley with a Goon and Matches Malone.

Cain and Abel

Another corner done on the ceiling! Cain and Abel fight in front of the House of Mystery, while Eve Merv Pumkinhead and Mathew the Raven watch. Goldie the Gargoyle has just hatched. The Endless family members of this corner? Delirium and Destruction. Only 4 more scenes to go! Here is the whole Ceiling so far….

Final Four Seasons Krypto

Here is the last Rockwell Four Seasons Calendar Krypto piece. I had fun doing this one. I set up a Livestream and had it going almost the entire time!
